Wifi

Are you connected?

Well, the time is now!

Wifi – A facility allowing computers, smartphones, or other devices to connect to the Internet or communicate with one another wirelessly within a particular area.

It's funny how technology has evolved over the years, and now, we have a network that easily connects us to BILLIONS of people, games, apps, businesses and more around the world. Easily we can connect to relatives miles away because of such a network. Without Wifi, in this world we live in today, connecting whether with family, business, jobs, or anything would be difficult. This thing we all call wifi is INVISIBLE yet POWERFUL, and able to CONNECT us right to where we need.

Now wait a minute, lets go back. Wifi – Invisible yet powerful, connecting us to whatever we need… INVISIBLE… and POWERFUL…

Now think with me, does that sound like something we know?

How about what we know as Faith. Its invisible right? Something we cant touch, but we know its there. Strong enough to:

Save us, for by the grace of God we are saved by faith

Defend us, because when we take up a shield of faith nothing can hurt us because we are in Gods army

Provide for us

Cement Us, Cause when we believe in the Lord we shall be established.. 2 CHRONICLES 20:20

Heal us – Nothing is strong or as important as the church and our God

• Strong enough to move mountains, part the sea and create paths

But, similar to wifi, faith isn’t something we wake up and posses. Its something gained. There are steps to acquiring Wifi, Just as there are steps to acquiring faith.

Steps (5 Steps)

Receive word

Check up on it

Trust it

Choose a secure network

Power on or off

1. Receive word– With wifi you don’t just hear about it the day you’re born. Its something you learn. You receive word about it! Similar to faith, no one is born with it. Its something you gain through experience! You receive faith thought God. Through the Word. Through the Bible. Through your friends. Through the streets. ANYWERE.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing. And hearing by the Word of God.”

2. Check up on it - When you hear about Wifi you don’t just go buy it. Similar to any products. You don’t go buy a new car without reading the car facts. You don’t go purchase a house without attending a showing. So why would someone have faith without seeing or experiencing it? We have to CHECK UP on it before we BELIEVE in it.

Matthew 21:19 - Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say to this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; it shall be done.

With this story. They couldn’t understand how Jesus had the power to say something and it be done… Jesus says if you have faith anything you think or say can be done. If you have faith anything is possible.

3. Trust– After we hear about something, and finish checking up on it, if we want to go to the next step we need to trust our next step. If we want to purchase that 100,000-dollar car, we have to trust the dealer when he says it’s the best in town. If we want to purchase a house, we must trust that it is in great condition. If we seek faith, we have to trust in our GOD. Trust in the word, trust in the church…

Judges 7:1-25 After Israel inhabited the promised land, God sent various prophets and leaders to speak his word and lead the people before they had a king. Gideon was one of these judges. God called him to lead Israel into battle with the Midianites.

The Midianite army had about 135,000 men. Gideon gathered an army of 32,000 men. However, God told Gideon that there were too many men in the army. Through a selection process, God cut the Israelite army down to just 300 men.

Asking the people who was fearful and afraid – let them return

Though Gideon was scared, he trusted God to prove His promise. God said they needed a smaller army so that people would know that it was God who won the battle, and not a large army.

Once time for the battle, The Midianites were so scared that many of them started fighting and killing one another thinking that Gideon’s army was all around them.

Through faith and trust Gideon, with a small army, conquered the Midianites.

4. Choose a secure Network – Verizon, Comcast, Sprint, and TMobile. Now in days we have so many trusted networks that we can invest in. No matter where we go, we can always trust that these networks will support us. Invest in God. Join his network. Find A faith, church or a fellowship that helps you to join Gods train. Choose a secure network with God.

Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths  straight.

5. Lastly power on or off - Now it’s your decision... How strong is your faith. How strong is your connection. Do you have 1 or 4 bars? Once you turn on that switch you start to gain bars. You begin to build your faith.

Now is the hour to turn that switch on

God has sent us an invitation to jump a board his train... Join his network. In, Ephesians 5:15, it says "Be very careful, then, how you live not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity,”.

Are you ready to get connected and join Gods network? Because the time is now to secure a connect with Gods network.
